Back to School Nights, Aug. 24 or Aug. 25

Save the date for Back to School Nights at The Children’s School. Lower School (3’s/4’s – grade 3) will gather on Wed., Aug. 24, 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Upper School families (grades 4-8) will gather Thurs., Aug. 25, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Program Details
Both Lower School (3’s/4’s-grade 3) and Upper School (grades 4-8) families should head straight to your child’s classroom when you arrive on campus. TCS staff will be on campus to help you find your child’s classroom.

Head of School Roslyn Benjamin, division directors, Elena Jaime and Paul Oberman, and Director of Curriculum Jen Tatasciore will speak via Zoom from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. about project-based learning, the Portrait of a Graduate, and give you a look into the new rotating schedule.

From 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., classroom teachers will talk about the curriculum, walk you through some grade-level expectations, our social-emotional program “Building Character and Community” (BCC), and share some experiences to help you experience what school is like through your child’s eyes.

If you have questions that specifically relate to your child as a learner, please set up a time to talk with the teacher(s) after Back to School Night.

This is an in-person, adults-only event and we won’t have child care available. One caregiver from each family is required to attend.
