Elizabeth Miller Named Interim Head as Roslyn Benjamin Concludes Tenure

After five incredible years of service, Head of School Roslyn Benjamin will conclude her time at TCS on June 30.

With wisdom, compassion and steady leadership, Roz has helped guide our community through both challenge and growth—from navigating a global pandemic to shaping our current strategic plan, Amplify, Nurture, Thrive.

Roz’s legacy is one of courage, collaboration, and heart, and we are filled with admiration and gratitude for her unwavering commitment to our students, families and mission.

With Roz’s departure, we are thrilled to share that Elizabeth Miller has been unanimously appointed by the Board of Trustees as interim head of school for the 2025–26 school year. Elizabethbrings more than two decades of experience in education—as a teacher, head of school and school founder. A former Atlanta resident who began her independent school journey at Pace Academy, Elizabeth’s professional journey has taken her across the country and around the world.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in Regional Studies East Asia from Harvard University.

Elizabeth is deeply inspired by TCS’s joyful approach to learning and its deep-rooted commitment to equity and inclusion. As she shared, “I look forward to fostering an environment that balances challenging academics, strong social-emotional skills, and joyful, hands-on experiences within a community where every voice is valued.”

Elizabeth officially begins on July 1, 2025. Over the next year, she will partner closely with the board, faculty, staff and families to ensure continuity and connection as we prepare for our next chapter.
