Parents’ Association

Welcome to the PA! When your child attends The Children’s School, you automatically become a member of The Parents’ Association. The primary objective of the PA is to communicate with and foster community within the TCS parent body.

We welcome all parents to join us at our monthly meetings, held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:45 a.m. in the Conference Room. We also encourage you to get involved in one of the many events and initiatives organized by the PA.

Please download and fill out the volunteer interest form and send it back in with your child. It’s any easy way to find out how to get engaged and let us know how you’d enjoy volunteering!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to one of us ( or

Thank you,
–Heather Hallett and Steve Cummings, PA Co-chairs

Throughout the history of the School, parental involvement has been integral to its success. In 1970, parent dedication and commitment were the driving forces of the school’s founding. Today, parents continue to play a key role in the education of their children and the strength of our community. Parents are encouraged to communicate frequently with their children’s teachers and are always welcome in the classrooms to share their talents and skills. In addition, The Parents’ Association is active in planning fundraising activities, organizing family and social events and is always looking for volunteers!

Host Families

Each year, families that are new to The Children’s School are matched with a host family to help welcome and guide them into the TCS community. Serving as a host family is a wonderful way to get to know new parents and students and to share your knowledge of The Children’s School! Families are typically matched based on students’ class and/or grade. Contact the Admissions Office at to learn more!
