TCS Coat & Urgent Items Drive, Nov. 18 – Dec. 20

The Parent Association Service Learning Committee is leading a Coat and Other Urgent Items Drive from Mon., Nov. 18 – Fri., Dec. 20. The coats and items will go to homeless families at Atlanta Mission, an organization that provides emergency shelter, rehab and recovery services, vocational training, services, and transitional housing.

You can drop off coats and urgent items outside of the A and B buildings, right when you enter the campus, and the Service Learning Committee will deliver the items collected each week to the Mission.

From Nov. 18 – Nov. 27, the Mission is in need of coats and urgent items. After November 27, they will have enough coats for the season and will need items from their urgent needs list, including:

  • New or used women’s business attire
  • Hygiene items
  • Underwear
  • Diapers
  • $5-10 gift cards from stores
  • Click here for the full list

In addition to our school-wide donations, counselors and teachers will incorporate education within the classrooms for the students to learn and understand more about homelessness generally and within Atlanta

If you have any questions about this effort or would like to learn more about the Parent Association Service Learning Committee, please contact Upper School Director of Student Life & High School Counseling Erin Joyner (erinj@tcsatl.org, 404-873-6985).

Thank you for helping to support TCS in serving our ATL community and educating our students about the impact of service on others.
