TCS Receives Largest Gift for Curriculum & Programming in School’s History

We are thrilled to announce that The Goizueta Foundation has awarded a grant of $450,000 over three years to The Children’s School. This generous grant is the largest gift for curriculum and programming in TCS history!

The gift will boost our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) initiatives, helping us to advance many of our plans to implement a forward-looking and hands-on, early learning through grade 8 curriculum. The Goizueta Foundation seeks partners who are developing innovative programs, and at TCS, this includes our immersive project-based learning (I-PBL) pedagogy.

The foundation’s gift will accelerate the schoolwide impact and implementation of our I-PBL method, support our middle grades expansion, and facilitate strong curriculum integrations with community partners. We will roll out new initiatives over the next three years, and strengthen our STEAM curriculum.

The gift will also strengthen our financial aid program. Even with the foundation’s generous gift, we will still have more than $500,000 in unmet need this year. The greatest amount of our financial aid budget will continue to be funded through our Annual Giving Campaign (AGC).

This is truly an exciting time for The Children’s School. We are grateful for The Goizueta Foundation’s partnership and appreciate their vote of confidence in our school as we look to further our vision for innovative teaching and brave learning at TCS.
