New Face Around Our Space: Ricardo Diaz

Ricardo grew up in Georgia and attended UGA (Go, Dawgs!). After college, he moved to New York City for graduate school. He taught in NYC for a decade, but always wanted to teach in his home state.

What are you most excited about this year?
I am excited to guide students through various hands-on-projects. I’m also looking forward to incorporating music, co-operative board games, dexterity games, and outdoor adventures in our learning.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Technically, I can call New York City my favorite vacation spot since I now live in Georgia. Visiting the Museum of Natural History is my favorite thing to do.

Who would you most like to meet?
I would like to meet Wilson from Kevin Henkes’ “
Chester’s Way.” Wilson’s point of view might have been identical to Chester’s, but what if it wasn’t?
