Meet assistant head for advancement Nikki Butts! Nikki is a graduate of an independent school and often shares with prospective families that independent schools are one of her first loves in life! She is the proud mom of two TCS students (Imani in Grade 6 and Jabari in Grade 3). Her family moved from California to Atlanta two years ago and TCS has been the heart of their home here ever since!
What are you most excited about this year?
I’m excited to get to know parents, teachers, and students this year. I consider it an immense privilege to be a part of advancement work at TCS and I’m especially looking forward to working closely with the Parent Association (PA) this year!
When you’re not at school, where can we find you?
When I’m not at school, I’m almost always with my kids and husband (and often our two golden retrievers, Bella and Bailey) enjoying quality time together. The pool has been a popular hangout for my family this summer, and we like to take our dogs for walks in Smyrna Market Village.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My husband and I first met at Thacher (an independent boarding high school in Ojai, CA) and we’ve been taking our two kids to Ojai since they were born! All these years later, it still feels like home, and it’s fun to show our kids our old stomping grounds.
Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
I’ve been enjoying various superhero movies with my kids lately, so I have to admit a fictional character I’d love to meet is Wonder Woman!
