Meet Jeffery Jackson, the newest member of The Children’s School’s kindergarten team!
With over 30 years of experience in early childhood and elementary education, Jeffery brings a deep passion for nurturing the whole child. He has taught kindergarten through 3rd grade in Gwinnett County Public Schools and Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia, and has also served as a Reading Recovery and English as a Second Language teacher.
Jeffery’s approach is guided by the belief that every child comes to school with a unique set of strengths, and it’s the teacher’s job to create the right environment for those strengths to shine. His student-centered philosophy and decades of experience make him a powerful addition to our early learning program.
Jeffery holds degrees from the University of Maryland, Marymount University, and Mercer University, and is a former Teacher of the Year. He lives in Atlanta with his husband, their daughter (a proud TCS alum!), and their two dogs, Lexi and Parker.
