Meet James Surgent, our new seventh grade teacher! James is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology (2 times!). His degrees are in the history of technology so he managed to combine his love of history, reading, math, and science! James has worked with a pretty wide age range of students, but most recently he taught pre-k and then 6th grade social studies. He loves helping students discover something new and interesting in his classroom, regardless of the subject matter.
What are you most excited about this year?
I’m most excited about joining the TCS community!
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is pretty much anywhere I have not traveled to yet (which is still a lot of places.)
Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
I think I’d be most interested in meeting Gandalf from “The Hobbit”/”Lord of the Rings” books.
