Meet Aja Ali, one of our new Discovery after-school program teachers! Aja has worked with children for more than 10 years, and moved to Atlanta from Orlando about 3 years ago. Outside of teaching, she’s also a makeup artist and has been doing makeup for about 7 years now. She specializes in bridal and SFX makeup. Aja is a creative at heart and dabbles in photography, painting, poetry and many other art forms.
What are you most excited about this year?
I’m most excited about getting to know all of the students. Since I started right before Spring Break last school year, I didn’t have the chance to get to know everyone as much as I would have liked.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is the beach; any beach that has soft sand and clear water.
Which fictional character would I most like to meet?
I would most like to meet Nick from New Girl. I would be laughing non-stop!
