The Children’s School Celebrates Earth Day

Care and respect for our environment is one of four core values The Children’s School teaches through our character education program, Building Care and Community (BCC), and on Sat., April 27 we celebrated our planet with a giant Earth Day party.

Since we’re a private school with a public purpose, we invited families from TCS and families from across Atlanta to campus for an afternoon of fun activities dedicated to learning how to care for and respect our planet.

Activities like the mock campsite, bird feeder craft, and ladybug release celebrated our planet while the tree snack craft, juice and milk carton craft and newspaper flower pots taught people about sustainability.

Earth Day celebrates our awesome planet for one day out of the year, but you can celebrate every day with these activities and stories that teach about sustainability and how best to care for our planet. Enjoy!
