TCS Supports the Local Community

‘Tis the season for giving and supporting our community!!

This year, TCS will be serving its local community by lending a helping hand to Grace United Methodist Church for our annual school-wide donation drive. After a successful service learning project in which TCS parents, students, and faculty participated in making over 1,000 sandwiches to donate to the church’s soup kitchen, it was evident that many other items are needed as the winter months approach. What better way to support an organization close to our heart and close to our school than by working together to donate much needed items to Grace!

Jocelyn Paez, who has spearheaded the donation drive for several years, got to work right away on organizing the donation drive at TCS. Her students designed posters for donation boxes and brainstormed donation item ideas to inspire their peers to show kindness and compassion for their local community.

Faculty, staff, parents, and students are invited to donate items such as gently used winter clothing for all ages, winter accessories, blankets, toiletries, canned goods, and gently used toys/games. Donation boxes are located throughout campus. Donations will be collected and delivered to Grace United on December 17th, and our goal is to fill all of the boxes!

Service begins at home and The Children’s School is proud to partner with a fellow midtown organization doing so much to help our community. Get those donations in today!
