The Children’s School will host our inaugural diversity, equity, and inclusion conference, My Authentic Self, on Sat., Nov. 3, 2018Participants will explore the intersection of race and gender in middle school.

About the Conference
Gaining the perspectives of others is beneficial to move forward with solutions within our schools and in the lives of our students, who are now a part of a diverse and global society. We will use this conference to deepen the dialog on these complex issues, to involve a broader community in problem-solving, and to share best practices.

The event will take place at The Children’s School, 345 10th Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. The morning will begin with breakfast and a keynote speech delivered by Caroline Blackwell. The remainder of the morning will be dedicated to workshops broken down by constituency, each individually facilitated. After lunch, there will be a student presentation. The afternoon workshop will focus on the individual school pods, culminating with a discussion on next steps. The day will end with a reception.
